Sweet smell of creativity
Thursday, October 4th, 2007Whilst wearing my ‘other’ hat and taking part in a brainstorming session with 7 very creative people last week – it struck me how little importance we place on our sense of smell when creating a ‘business-like’ atmosphere. The fact that the Japanese pump lemon oil through the air conditioning units of some top banks (to invigorate their employees) has not quite – well – wafted over here yet. As I have talked about before, I have a lovely friend who is a life-coach and she uses Focus to great use – but here we all sat – straining our brains to wring out creative thought-pieces, and I had one of those cartoon-style voice bubbles and thought – time to hit the oils and design a blend that encourages, engenders, envelopes us with creativity – well you can see what I mean…. I need some myself obviously! This leads me straight onto to how the current education system is designed to draw all creativity out of the kids and replace it with a sound education… but that might have to be another blog!!
